Marcos will compete at the UNICEF Open, an ATP World Tour 250 grass-court tournament in ‘s-Hertogenbosch next week, as he looks to fine tune his grass-court game ahead of Wimbledon. He has been seeded second in the 28-man field and will have a bye through the first round.
In the second round, Marcos will face either American Michael Russell or Australian Peter Luczak, with a likely quarter-final against seventh-seeded Serbian Janko Tipsarevic. No. 3 Tommy Robredo and No. 8 Benjamin Becker are the other two seeds in Marcos’ half of the draw.

Marcos is making his third appearance in ‘s-Hertogenbosh. In an unfortunate event last year, he twisted his knee in a second-round clash with Raemon Sluiter and was forced to retire, but enjoyed much greater success on his 2006 debut by reaching the semi-finals, losing to Mario Ancic.
