Marcos will open his Roland Garros campaign on Monday against American qualifier Jesse Witten.
World No. 184 Witten came through a thrilling first-round qualifying match, prevailing 17-15 in the third set against Marcos Daniel, before cruising through his next two matches without the loss of a set to earn his place in the main draw.
The 27-year-old Witten has struggled for wins this year and previously had not won back-to-back matches, at any level, since last October, when he reached the semi-finals of an ATP Challenger Tour event in Sacramento. The American reached the third round of the US Open as a qualifier last year, before famously pushing Novak Djokovic to four close sets.
Marcos has played Witten once before, defeating the right-hander in straight sets four years ago on clay in Houston.
The match will be played second on Court 7 on Monday. Play begins at 11am local time (12noon Cyprus) and Marcos follows a women’s singles first-round match. Check out the full order of play here.
