After bad weather in Buenos Aires had delayed the Copa Peugeot Argentina de Tenis, Marcos had to play both his semifinal and final on Sunday.
First up was Juan Monaco (ARG), whom Marcos defeated in straight sets 7-6(6), 7-5. In the earlier semifinal, Nalbandian had beaten Gaston Gaudio in three sets.
The final between Marcos and David Nalbandian was played at 8pm local time. There Nalbandian prevailed in two tough sets, 6-4, 6-4.
Despite ultimately losing in the final, this was still a great tournament for Marcos, providing him with a tough work out against top players.
