The draw for the BMW Open by FWU Retakaful was made yesterday and Marcos has been seeded fifth in the 32-player field. He will open his campaign at the ATP World Tour 250 tournament against a qualifier. Qualifying action concludes Sunday in Munich, so the identity of Marcos’ opponent will be known by the end of the day.
In the second round, Marcos would face either another qualifier or Swiss Marco Chiudinelli, with fourth seed and 2007 champion Philipp Kohlschreiber a likely opponent in the quarter-finals. Croatian Marin Cilic leads the field and is in the same half of the draw as Marcos; the two could meet in the semi-finals.

Marcos is playing in Munich for the first time since his debut in 2007, when he reached the semi-finals before losing to Kohlschreiber.
