The ATP World Masters 1000 tournament in Monte-Carlo is the focus of the tennis world this week and Marcos has a potential tie against British Number 1 Andy Murray in the second round.
Marcos is in the top half of the draw and will face wild card Radek Stepanek in the first round. Marcos has played Stepanek three times, and he has beaten him on two occasions. The most recent match between the pair was in 2007, at the ATP Masters 100 in Rome, a game which Marcos won in three sets.

If Marcos overcomes Stepanek, he will face the number 3 seed Andy Murray in the second round. Murray is currently struggling for form, having lost his previous four matches, and will be desperately trying to reverse his fortunes this week. Marcos has an encouraging 3-1 record against Murray and will be keen to test himself against the Brit again.
Marcos will be hoping to improve on his performance in 2010, when he lost in straight sets to Albert Montanes in the round of 64.
