This week Marcos is playing at the Open de Moselle in Metz, France and in the first round he has been drawn to face Croatian top seed Ivo Karlovic.
Marcos is making his debut at the indoor hard court ATP International Series event. Also in the main draw, which gets underway on Monday, is No. 2 seed Gilles Simon, No. 3 Nicolas Almagro, No. 4 Paul-Henri Mathieu, No. 5 Dmitry Tursunov, No. 6 Andreas Seppi, No. 7 Radek Stepanek and No. 8 Mario Ancic.
Should Marcos manage to topple 6'10'' Karlovic in the first round, he would face either Amersfoort champion Albert Montanes or former World No. 1 Carlos Moya - it's a draw stacked with talent!

It is Marcos's first ATP level appearance since Wimbledon, where he reached the fourth round. He was sidelined through the summer with a right wrist ligament injury and made a comeback on the ATP Challenger circuit at Orleans, France three weeks ago, where he reached the semifinals before retiring in the semifinals suffering from arm fatigue having not played for a couple of months.
