Unfortunately, Marcos has withdrawn from the Grenoble Challenger due to arm fatigue. Marcos had retired in the semifinals of the Orleans Challenger against Christophe Rochus with the same problem and has decided to allow himself one more week's rest before making his return to the ATP circuit at the Open de Moselle in Metz, France.
While Marcos' right wrist is now OK, the fact that he hasn't played for a couple of months has led to his arm feeling tired and he is keen not to overuse it.
He will now spend another week training in Paris with coach Peter Lundgren, before travelling to Metz for the Open de Moselle, which begins on September 29.
Following his appearance in Metz, Marcos will play in Vienna before heading to Madrid to contest the Mutua Madrilena Masters event. From there, Marcos will travel to Basel, where he has always enjoyed strong results, before finishing in Paris at the BNP Paribas Masters.
