Marcos has announced that, regretfully, he is withdrawing from the Atlanta Tennis Championships, citing personal reasons. His first stop on the US Open Series will now be the Farmers Classic in Los Angeles, beginning Monday 26 July.
“I am very disappointed to be missing the Atlanta tournament this year. I know I have many fans in Atlanta who have always rooted for me, which makes this decision even harder,” Marcos said.
Tournament Director Bill Oakes added: “Marcos is a fan favourite and we will greatly miss him at the Atlanta Tennis Championships. We hope he will have a chance to play Atlanta next year.”
