The Rendezvous Pune Marathas edged a close opening tie against Hyderabad Aces, 26-25, in the Champions Tennis League on Tuesday.
Marcos clinched victory for his team, beating Mikhail Youzhny 6-5 in the deciding fifth match.
Pune will take to the court again on Thursday, away in Bangalore. Marcos is set to team up with Agnieszka Radwanska in the mixed doubles. He will then join forces with Saketh Myneni in the men’s doubles before playing the last rubber against Feliciano Lopez.
