It was announced on Tuesday that ATP Executive Chairman and President Brad Drewett is suffering with Motor Neurone Disease. The Australian will continue in his current role on an interim basis as the ATP Board of Directors begins the search process for his successor in the near future.
Marcos was one of many players to extend his heart-felt sympathies to Drewett and his family.
“It's really bad what’s happening,” said Marcos. “Personally I don’t know him very well, but I’ve spoken to him a couple of times and he seems a very nice guy. I wish him luck. I wish him to have a great time in his last few years with his family and the people he loves. Whatever he needs from the ATP and players, we should try and help him out.”
