After a strong start to the season on hard courts, Marcos is working hard in Las Vegas with widely respected trainer Gil Reyes ahead of beginning his clay-court campaign.
Reyes, who was instrumental in the phenomenal career of Andre Agassi, has also been largely credited for the turn around in Fernando Verdasco’s career. The Spaniard, who spent the off-season training with Reyes, opened the 2009 season by reaching his first Grand Slam semi-final at the Australian Open.
Marcos has been training in Las Vegas since his second-round exit to Paul-Henri Mathieu at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami. He will stay there until 21st April.
Marcos is planning to make a return to the court very soon, at an ATP Challenger Tour event in Ostrava, Czech Republic, beginning 27th April. We’ll bring you further news on Marcos’ schedule as soon as we can.
