Marcos is the top seed at the Prosperita Open, an ATP Challenger Tour clay-court event that begins on Monday in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
In the first round Marcos will face Lukasz Kubot, who – along with Oliver Marach – has shone on the ATP World Tour doubles circuit this season – notching the Casablanca title and finishing runner-up in Acapulco.
In singles action, the No. 183-ranked Pole has played one ATP World Tour main draw in Costa do Sauipe, where he reached the second round.
Also featuring in the Prosperita Open draw are No. 2 seed Ivo Minar and No. 3 Steve Darcis (both ranked just inside the Top 100) and fourth seed Olivier Rochus.

Marcos will also compete in the doubles main draw in Ostrava, pairing up with Frenchman Sebastien De Chaunac. They will face Croatian-Slovak pairing Ivan Dodig and Marek Semjan in the first round.

Marcos will not take to the court in singles action on Monday, but he and De Chaunac will contest their first-round doubles match last on center court, starting not before 5:30pm CET (4:30pm BST, 11:30am ET).
