After taking the required rest for his ankle injury, Marcos will return to action at next week’s If Stockholm Open.
The ATP World Tour 250 indoor hard court tournament in Stockholm is an event where Marcos has enjoyed some of the best success of his career. He won his third of four ATP World Tour titles there in 2009, with victory over Olivier Rochus, and reached the semi-finals in 2012 before a mad dash home in time for the birth of his daughter, Zahara.
Stockholm boasts a strong line-up this year, with Top 10 players Tomas Berdych and Grigor Dimitrov leading the way. Also in contention, along with Marcos, will be Kevin Anderson, Alexandr Dolgopolov, Gael Monfils and Fernando Verdasco.
Play in Stockholm begins on Monday, with the draw due to be made on Saturday.
