Marcos will open his clay-court campaign on Tuesday when he plays Spaniard Albert Montanes in the first round of the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters, an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament played at the Monte-Carlo Country Club.
Marcos arrived in Monte-Carlo on Monday lunchtime and has been granted the latest start possible, playing fourth on Court des Princes. Play begins at 10:30am local time (11:30am Cyprus). Check out the full order of play here.
Marcos, who is up to No. 29 in the South African Airways 2010 ATP Rankings this week, has played Montanes once before, beating the Spaniard in straight sets on hard court in Basel three years ago.
The No. 32-ranked Montanes has compiled a 10-8 record in the first three months of the season, notably reaching the semi-finals in Auckland and Buenos Aires (on clay). In his last outing, he was defeated by Florent Serra in the second round of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami.
