After his success Down Under, Marcos returns to the court to contest the SA Tennis Open at the Montecasino in Johannesburg. His campaign gets underway on Monday when he faces South African qualifier Andrew Anderson.
Marcos is seeded eighth at his third ATP World Tour event of the season. In the second round he could face either Spaniard Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo or South African wild card Raven Klaasen, with the prospect of a quarter-final match up against second seed David Ferrer.
The 25-year-old Anderson is currently ranked No. 1567 in the ATP Rankings and is making his main draw debut on the ATP World Tour. He is coached by his father, Ian, and former pro Neville Godwin.
The match will take place last on Centre Court on Monday. A doubles match leads the evening session beginning at 7pm local time, with Marcos vs. Anderson to follow immediately.

Marcos arrived in Johannesburg on Wednesday and is ready to make a strong impact at the event, which is returning after a 13-year absence.
“Last year I was basically injured for about seven months, which meant I couldn't get enough matches under my belt to maintain my ranking but hopefully this year I can stay fit and get my ranking back into the Top 10," said Marcos. "I got some good match fitness in Australia, and now I am ready to play in Johannesburg and I'm really looking forward to it.
“I am here to win,” he said. “I know each match will be tough and I will just have to keep on fighting. But I fought well in Melbourne. If I carry on fighting here I can do well.”
Go, Marcos!
