Marcos will open his campaign at the Gerry Weber Open on Monday in Halle, when he faces home hope Philipp Petzschner in the first round of the ATP World Tour 250 grass-court tournament.
World No. 39 Petzschner is looking to bounce back after a five-set defeat to Carsten Ball in the first round of Roland Garros nearly two weeks ago. The Bayreuth native, a three-time semi-finalist on the ATP World Tour earlier in the season, is making his third appearance in Halle and has only won one match, reaching the second round last year after defeating then-World No. 8 Fernando Verdasco in the first round.
Marcos is playing against the 26-year-old Petzschner for the first time and will be hoping to make a strong start to his grass-court campaign at a venue where he has once before reached the final.
The match has received Center-Court billing and will be played not before 4:00pm local time (5:00pm Cyprus). Check out the full order of play here.
