We are pleased to announce that Marcos is set to take part in the Davis Cup event this year and is very glad to be part of the team to help Cyprus get to the Group 2 again. The competition will take place on outdoor clay in San Marino from 15-18 July.
Contested in round-robin format, two of the following teams will be promoted from Group 3 to Group 2: Albania, Armenia, Cyprus, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Malta, Montenegro, Norway and San Marino.
Marcos has been playing in Davis Cup since 2000, with 38 ties played. He owns a dominant 43-3 singles record and a 19-10 doubles mark. Marcos last competed in Davis Cup in 2013, leading Cyprus past Benin in the Group 2 Relegation Play-off.
