Chela has a 2-1 head-to-head record against Marcos, but Marcos was the victor in their previous encounter in the Cincinnati Masters tournament in 2007.
Chela has had a mixed start to the year going out early in Sydney and the Australian Open. Concentrating mainly on clay-court tournaments since then, he has had first round wins in Chile, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico. On his return to hard-courts he lost in the first round in Indian Wells and had a second round loss in the Sunrise ATP Challenger tournament in Florida.
Although it will not be an easy match, Marcos should progress to the third round.
