Marcos will make his first trip to the ATP World Tour 250 hard-court event in Atlanta - the BB&T Atlanta Open. The event kicks off Marcos' summer in the United States. He will also travel to Washington, D.C., Cincinnati, Winston-Salem and the year's final major, the US Open.
Up to No. 45 in the Emirates ATP Rankings, Marcos, seeded fifth, opens against a qualifier in Atlanta and will could face either Sam Groth or American teen Frances Tiafoe in the second round. Other seeds in his half of the draw include No. 2 Vasek Pospisil, No. 4 Adrian Mannarino and No. 7 Gilles Muller.
Marcos is 16-11 on the ATP World Tour this year, including 7-5 on hard courts.
