Marcos will open his Sony Ericsson Open campaign on Saturday against Belgian qualifier Olivier Rochus, who advanced to the second round with a hard-fought, three-set win over Blaz Kavcic on Thursday.
Marcos goes into the clash with the confidence of holding a 2-0 career lead over his No. 89-ranked opponent, having defeated the Belgian most recently in the 2009 If Stockholm Open final in straight sets.

Marcos is looking to bounce back strongly from his disappointment in Indian Wells, where an in-growing fingernail prevented him from playing his best in a second-round defeat to Somdev Devvarman.
He has had some fun during his Miami preparations, taking part in the Hope Match for Japan on Wednesday evening, which raised more than $100,000 for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Marcos was named Man of the Match by team captain Novak Djokovic, and scored the ATP World Tour AllStars first goal in a 4-2 defeat.
The serious business gets underway on Saturday afternoon at Crandon Park, where the second ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament of the year is held. Marcos is second on Grandstand, following an 11am start (3pm GMT, 5pm Cyprus). See the full order of play here.
