Marcos will face Adrian Mannarino in the first round of the If Stockholm Open. The draw for the ATP World Tour 250 indoor hard-court tournament was made on Saturday.
Marcos will play the No. 80-ranked Mannarino for the first time. The Frenchman is coming off a 14-match win streak on the ATP Challenger Tour that ended in a semi-final defeat in Tashkent this week. That spell saw him win three titles in Manta, Segovia and Istanbul.
The 26-year-old Mannarino has a 13-21 record on the ATP World Tour this season and is making his second appearance in Stockholm. The left-hander lost in the first round on his 2011 debut.
Marcos is a former champion in Stockholm, lifting the trophy in 2009. Should he beat Mannarino in the first round, he would face fourth seed Alexandr Dolgopolov, who is also on the comeback from injury. Marcos is in the same half of the draw as top seed Tomas Berdych and fifth seed Leonardo Mayer, whom he could face in the quarter-finals.
Main draw play begins on Monday in Stockholm.
