In the second round of the Ordina Open, Marcos will face Dutch wild card Raemon Sluiter in ‘s-Hertogenbosch on Wednesday.
The 31-year-old Sluiter reached a career-high of No. 46 in the South African Airways ATP Rankings in February 2003, but currently resides at No. 866. The right-hander is playing his first ATP World Tour tournament since losing in the Rotterdam first round early last year.
The Rotterdam native, who defeated Daniel Gimeno-Traver in the first round to record his first victory on the ATP World Tour since July 2007, was a semi-finalist in ‘s-Hertogenbosch in 2003 (l. to Schalken).
Marcos will meet Sluiter for the first time when the pair takes to centre court not before 4:30 p.m. local time on Wednesday.
