In the second round of the BNP Paribas Open at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Saturday Marcos will face Indian qualifier Somdev Devvarman. While the No. 19-seeded Marcos received a bye through the first round, Devvarman defeated Adrian Mannarino in straight sets.
World No. 84 Devvarman has been in good form of late, reaching his first ATP World Tour final in Johannesburg, where he lost to Kevin Anderson, and helping Indian give defending Davis Cup champion a stern test in the first round last week by beating Janko Tipsarevic. The 26 year old is through to the second round of an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament for the first time in his career.
