Marcos will face 10th seed Marin Cilic in the first round of The Championships, Wimbledon. Marcos is in the bottom quarter of the 128-player draw. Should he upset Cilic, who last week finished runner-up at The Queen’s Club, he will face either Kenny De Schepper or Paolo Lorenzi.
Also in Marcos’ quarter of the draw are sixth seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Ernests Gulbis, 14th seed Janko Tipsarevic and second seed Andy Murray.
Marcos is making his eighth appearance at Wimbledon. He enjoyed his best run in 2006, when he beat Andy Murray and Lleyton Hewitt to reach the semi-finals (l. to Nadal). The following year he lost to Novak Djokovic in five sets in the quarter-finals.
