After a week to practice and acclimatise to the desert conditions in Indian Wells, Marcos will be ready to go on Sunday in his opening match against Frenchman Arnaud Clement at the BNP Paribas Open, the first ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament of the season.
Seeded 27th, Marcos received a bye through the first round, and will open his campaign against World No. 76 Clement, who defeated Australian Peter Luczak in three sets on Friday to earn his place in the second round.

2010 has been a season of mixed fortunes so far for the 32-year-old Clement. The Frenchman reached his 11th tour-level final in Auckland, but had then suffered five first-round defeats on the ATP World Tour before posting a semi-final effort at a Challenger event in Cherbourg last week.
Marcos takes a 3-1 career lead into the match, having won their past three meetings. Interestingly, following his victories over Clement in Zagreb in 2007 and Stockholm in 2009, Marcos went on to win the tournament.
Take a look at their head-to-head here.
Marcos will look to build on an excellent 15-5 start to the season, which includes his title at the Medibank International in Sydney and a semi-final effort in Dubai. He has good memories of playing in Indian Wells, reaching the quarter-finals on his debut in 2006.
The match takes place first on Stadium 3, with play beginning at 11:00 am local time (6:00 pm GMT, 8:00 pm Cyprus). Check out the full order of play here.
