Marcos has won his second ATP Challenger Tour title of the season after defeating Belgian Xavier Malisse 6-4, 6-1 in the final of the Trophee des Alpilles in St. Remy Sunday.
Marcos played great tennis to defeat Malisse in a final once more, having also beaten the former Top 20 player in the Odlum Brown Van Open title match last month in Vancouver.
It is a great confidence boost for Marcos ahead of Cyprus’ Davis Cup clash away to Finland next weekend. Should Cyprus win, it would gain promotion to Europe/Africa Zone I.
