Marcos was forced to retire in his second-round match with Raemon Sluiter due to a left knee injury.
The injury occurred at the end of the seventh game when Marcos slipped at the back of the court and appeared to twist his knee. Marcos was in a great deal of pain and quickly received medical attention and support from physiotherapists and his opponent.
Marcos was stretchered from the court with an ice pack on his knee and was forced to concede the match with Sluiter leading 4-3.
