In February, Marcos opened his 2015 ATP World Tour campaign with a run to the semi-finals on the indoor hard courts of Zagreb. He hopes to conclude the season exactly how it started, with another deep run indoors.
Marcos returns to the If Stockholm Open for the fifth time, with fond memories of the ATP World Tour 250 event. The champion in 2009, not dropping a set en route to the title, he owns a 7-3 overall record in the Swedish capital.
Facing a strong field in Stockholm, Marcos opens with a tough test against Sam Querrey. He will vie for his first win in his fourth meeting against the American, having not faced off since 2009. Victory would see Marcos clash against fourth seed Bernard Tomic in the second round. Top seed Tomas Berdych is also in his half of the draw.
Stockholm is one of three remaining tournaments on Marcos' 2015 ATP World Tour schedule, with the Valencia Open and BNP Paribas Masters in Paris also on tap.
