After a good showing in Tokyo, with an impressive run through to the semi-finals, Marcos is now gearing up for the Shanghai Rolex Masters, which marks the culmination of the three-week ATP World Tour Asian Swing
With the winner of the tournament receiving 1000 South African Airways ATP Ranking points, Shanghai will be hotly contested, with other players including World No.1 Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, who is aiming to win this title for a third time in a row

In his first-round match on Tuesday, Marcos will be hoping to continue his current form with a win against Italian, Fabio ‘Fogna’ Fognini, the World No.47.

Fognini has won both of his previous matches against Marcos and comes fresh from the final of the St. Petersburg Open just three weeks ago, where he lost to Martin Klizan (2-6, 3-6). Another highlight this season was his semi-final win in Bucharest over Attila Balaza, leading to a final showdown against Gilles Simon (4-6, 3-6).
