Marcos will look to finalise his Wimbledon preparations by playing the AEGON International in Eastbourne next week. After a second-round exit at The Queen’s Club this week, Marcos will be looking for a few more matches on the grass at the ATP World Tour 250 tournament, where he is making his debut.
Marcos’ campaign at Queen’s came to an end with a second-round defeat to Lukas Rosol. He and Britian’s Jamie Murray reached the doubles second round, but were defeated by fifth seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna.
The Eastbourne draw was made on Saturday, with Marcos due to face eighth-seeded Spaniard Pablo Andujar in the first round. The top seed is Richard Gasquet, with Andy Roddick, Bernard Tomic and Sam Querrey also featuring.
Main draw play begins on Monday. Stay tuned to www.baghdatis.com.
Go, Marcos!
