Marcos is through to the semi-finals of the Trophee des Alpilles after dismissing Swiss No. 6 seed Stephane Bohli 7-6(5), 6-3 on Friday at the ATP Challenger Tour event in St. Remy.
It is the second time this season that Marcos has reached the semi-finals of the ATP Challenger Tour event, having recently captured the Odlum Brown Van Open title in Vancouver.
For a place in Sunday’s final, Marcos will meet top-seeded German Bjorn Phau, who secured his place in the last four with a straight-sets win over seventh-seeded Sebastien de Chaunac.

Former Top 60 player Phau will be a step up in level for Marcos. The German is coming off a first-round loss to Andy Roddick at the US Open and is through to his second ATP Challenger Tour semi-final of the season. The 29 year old has also enjoyed success on the ATP World Tour this year, reaching the semi-finals in Houston and making the quarter-finals in Chennai.
The first-time meeting between Marcos and Phau will take place second on Central court today, following the first semi-final featuring Xavier Malisse and Lukas Lacko, which begins at 2:00 p.m. local time.
