The ATP's year-end Emirates ATP Rankings were released on Monday and Marcos concluded his 2015 campaign with a return to the Top 50, officially at World No. 46.
Marcos finished a season in the Top 50 for the first time since 2012, when he was at No. 36. He is in the year-end Top 50 for the seventh time in his career and the year-end Top 100 for an 11th consecutive season.
Marcos won 26 ATP-level matches this year, reaching the semi-finals in Zagreb, Nottingham and Stockholm. He advanced to his 12th final - and first in four years - at the BB&T Atlanta Open in July. Marcos also notched the 20th win over a Top 10 opponent in upsetting David Ferrer on the lawns of Nottingham.
He reached a season-high of No. 41 after his strong performance in Stockholm in October and will look to continue rising as the calendar flips to 2016.
