Marcos will open the 2015 Wimbledon Championships on Monday against Donald Young of the United States. Playing at the All England Club for the 10th time in 11 years, Marcos registered his best result in reaching the semifinals in 2006. He owns a 17-9 overall tournament record.
Young won their lone meeting in Washington four years ago, but Marcos enters in strong form having not dropped serve en route to the semifinals of the ATP World Tour 250 event in Nottingham last week. Despite having to pull out of the tournament due to a leg injury, he is ready to go in London. Other seeds in Marcos' section of the Wimbledon draw include potential second round opponent No. 19 Tommy Robredo, No. 16 David Goffin and No. 4 Stan Wawrinka.
Marcos' first round match is scheduled for fourth on Court 17 on Monday.
