Fresh from the success of his title at the Odlum Brown Van Open in Vancouver, Marcos is back in action again today as he opens his campaign at the LG & T Tennis Challenger – an ATP Challenger Tour event in Binghamton, New York.
In the first round he will face Poland’s Jerzy Janowicz, with the match given top billing on Center court, starting not before 6:00 p.m. local time.

The 18-year-old Janowicz is this week at a career-high No. 229 in the South African Airways 2009 ATP Rankings after strong results on the ATP Challenger Tour in recent weeks. The Pole was a quarter-finalist in Bytom and a semi-finalist in Poznan – both in his home country – before last week making a first-round exit at the ATP World Tour 500 tournament in Washington.
Janowicz was a top junior, reaching the finals of the junior events in Roland Garros and the US Open. Unsurprisingly, this will be his first meeting with Marcos.
