Marcos came from a set down on Tuesday night to reach the second round of the PBZ Zagreb Indoors, beating Czech Lukas Rosol 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.
In a match featuring 10 service breaks, Marcos converted six of his 12 break point opportunities to battle to victory in one hour and 51 minutes.
He next goes onto face Poland’s Lukasz Kubot, who defeated Italian qualifier Matteo Viola 6-2, 6-1 earlier on Tuesday. Prior to that contest, Marcos will have more match practice when he takes to the court with Mikhail Youzhny in the doubles first round on Wednesday. The duo will face Julian Knowle and Michael Kohlmann on Court 1, not before 3:00pm local time (+1 hr GMT).
