Marcos' signature frame, the new PACIFIC BXT 'X Force Pro No. 1' was listed among the Top-4 hottest racquets in 2016 by Tennis.com. They assessed the piece of equipment as such:
The X Force Pro No. 1 is a versatile, arm-friendly, all-court performer that balances a plush, almost old-school feel with just a hint of modern crispness. Fast swings can result in ample power on serves and ground strokes, but the aggression derived from this frame is best produced with variety and specialty shots, such as low penetrating slices, rolling angles and devilish droppers. According to one tester, “The Pacific is a precise pitching wedge in a market full of drivers.”
While it felt great when finding the tiny sweet spot—to some it played more like a 93 to 95 sq. in. head—the soft flex did sap the strength of shots contacted off-center. This was a particular problem when defending an opponent’s barrage of heavy strokes.
The X Force Pro No. 1's supple touch and ability to exploit the front of the court in offensive ways make it a good option for skilled attacking players, or high-level doubles specialists that bring their own power.
