Marcos won his first ATP World Tour doubles title on Sunday as he and Mikhail Youzhny won the PBZ Zagreb Indoors trophy with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Croatian wild cards Ivan Dodig and Mate Pavic. Earlier in the day, Youzhny had won the singles crown by beating Lukas Lacko, Marcos’ conqueror in the semi-finals.
The Cypriot-Russian pairing, who were playing together for the first time this week, broke serve twice in each set and dropped just eight points on serve throughout as they raced to victory in 51 minutes.
"It's been a pleasure to come back here to play this week," said Marcos. "I was last here in 2007 and it's been great to be back. Thanks to everyone for making it a great week, and Mischa for playing with me. Congrats to him on a great tournament."
Marcos will now return to Cyprus for the Davis Cup clash with Morocco in Limassol from 10-12 February.
