Marcos' singles victory guided the Singapore Slammers to retain the IPTL title on Sunday.
The three-city, 10-day competition concluded at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, India, with the Slammers routing the Indian Aces 30-14 in the final. Marcos prevailed 6-4 over Feliciano Lopez in singles action, with teammates Carlos Moya, Nick Kyrgios, Marcelo Melo and Kiki Bertens also earning wins. The Slammers got their revenge on the Aces after losing consecutive encounters on Thursday and Friday.
After some well-deserved rest, Marcos will return to action for the ATP World Tour opener in Doha in January.
