The 2015 Champions Tennis League commenced on Monday, with Marcos' Punjab Marshalls - the defending champions - rallying past the Mumbai Tennis Masters 3-2.
Last year's MVP, Marcos was the hero of the match following opening losses by teammates Greg Rusedski and Elina Svitolina. Rusedski is a former World No. 4, while Svitolina is one of the WTA's bright rising stars. With the Marshalls down 0-2, Marcos joined forced with Svitolina to win the mixed doubles 5-2 and the men's doubles 5-3, alongside India's Saketh Myneni.
In the decider, he would down World No. 70 Santiago Giraldo 5-4 to give his team the victory.
Punjab Marshalls will next play on Friday against Raipur Rangers, followed by a Saturday rematch against Mumbai Tennis Masters.
