Marcos has taken a wild card into the ATP Challenger Tour event in Taipei City, Taiwan and will be the top seed at the hard-court tournament.
Appearing at a pro tournament for the first time since the Australian Open in January, following an extended absence due to an ankle injury, Marcos will open against Korean teenager Soon-woo Kwon. It is their first meeting.
Also in Marcos' half of the draw is potential quarter-final opponent and seventh seed Duckhee Lee and potential semi-final opponent and third seed Konstantin Kravchuk. Longtime rival Lukas Lacko is also in his half.
Marcos is playing his first of two events on the ATP Challenger Tour in April and is also scheduled to compete in Anning, China. He owns 10 career titles and a 92-31 record on the circuit in his career.
