Marcos will look to gain entry into the main draw at the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters as he takes part in the qualifying tournament for the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event in Cincinnati this weekend.
Marcos received a wild card into the qualifying and will face eighth-seeded American Robert Kendrick in the first round today. The winner goes on to meet either fifth seed Andrey Golubev or Australian Chris Guccione for the right to compete in the 56-man main draw.

It will be Marcos’ first meeting against World No. 75 Kendrick, who has a 6-12 match record on the season. The 29 year old produced his best result of the season so far at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami, where he qualified and reached the third round – losing to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
