Marcos was beaten in the first round of his bid to qualify for the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters, losing to American No. 8 seed Robert Kendrick 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 on Saturday in Cincinnati.
Next up for Marcos will be Pilot Pen Tennis, an ATP World Tour 250 tennis tournament in New Haven, played the week before the US Open.
