Marcos was beaten in the second round of the BMW Open on Wednesday by Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov, 3-6, 7-6(6), 6-2.
After narrowly missing out on securing victory in the second set tie-break, Marcos quickly fell behind 1-4 in the second set and could not recover the deficit as the promising Dimitrov wrapped up victory in two hours and 11 minutes.
Next up for Marcos will be the Mutua Madrid Open, which begins on Sunday 1st May.
