Marcos will bid for a place in the semi-finals of the Farmers Classic when he faces Serbian No. 6 seed Janko Tipsarevic on Friday at the ATP World Tour 250 hard-court tennis tournament in Los Angeles.
World No. 46 Tipsarevic, who married long-time girlfriend Biljana Sesevic on 4 July 2010 in Belgrade, earned his place in the quarter-finals with victories over Santiago Giraldo and Somdev Devvarman. The 26 year old is through to his fifth ATP World Tour quarter-final of the season; he went on to finish runner-up in ‘s-Hertogenbosch in June.
Marcos takes a 2-0 career lead into the clash, having beaten Tipsarevic in Tokyo in 2005 and in Marseille in 2007, both times on hard courts. Check out their head-to-head details here.

Marcos is bidding to reach his first ATP World Tour semi-final since May, when he advanced to the last four in Munich. This is his best showing in Los Angeles in three event appearances.
The match will take place second on Straus Stadium on Friday at the UCLA, with play for the day beginning at 12noon local time (8pm UK, 10pm Cyprus). Check out the full order of play here.
