Marcos will look to cap a stellar 2015 ATP World Tour campaign at the BNP Paribas Masters in Paris in two weeks, after falling to Tomas Berdych in Stockholm on Saturday. Marcos retired after the first set due to injury.
The 2009 champion, Marcos enjoyed another strong week in the Swedish capital after notching consecutive victories over seeded opponents, including 18th-ranked Bernard Tomic in the second round. On Friday, he registered his 10th deciding set win of the season in beating old friend Gilles Muller in the quarter-finals.
Marcos will hope to return to action at the season-ending ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament in Paris, beginning 2 November.
