After rain during the week had left the Aegon Trophy running a day behind, Marcos pulled double duty on Friday to reach the semi-finals of the ATP Challenger Tour event in Nottingham.
First up for Marcos was a 6-4, 6-4 victory over American Denis Kudla. Marcos advanced in 83 minutes, saving seven of the eight break points he faced and firing eight aces.
He then returned to the court a few hours later to defeat France’s Kenny De Schepper, 6-4, 7-6(1) in 85 minutes, converting two of his seven break point chances.
On Saturday, Marcos will take on the event’s top seed, World No. 55 Igor Sijsling. The match is scheduled for first on centre court, with play beginning at 11am BST (1pm Cyprus). See the full order of play here.
