Marcos Bows Out

Wednesday, 14 March, 2012

Marcos’ campaign in Indian Wells came to an end in the third round on Tuesday as he was beaten in a close match by No. 21 seed Alexandr Dolgopolov, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 in two hours and 20 minutes.

Marcos won just four points less than his Ukrainian opponent in a keenly contested match, which saw him break Dolgopolov on four occasions, but also drop his own serve five times.

Next up for Marcos will be the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami, which begins next week.
