Marcos booked his place in the quarter-finals of the Odlum Brown Van Open with a comfortable 6-4, 6-1 victory over Indian Prakash Amritraj on Wednesday at the ATP Challenger Tour event in Vancouver, Canada.
For a spot in the semi-finals Marcos will take on Canadian wild card Philip Bester, who battled past fifth-seeded American Ryan Sweeting 1-6, 6-3, 6-4. That match will be played on Friday.

For now, Marcos’ attentions return to his doubles campaign with Argentine partner Juan-Francisco Spina. The wild cards today play their quarter-final match against Japanese-Australian duo Kyu Tae Im and Marinko Matosevic, who ousted third seeds Prakash Amritraj and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi in the first round.
The match will take place on centre court, beginning not before 6:30 p.m. local time. Check out the full order of play here.
