Marcos will be challenging for a quarter-final berth at the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters on Thursday, when he faces seventh seed Tomas Berdych in the third round of the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament in Cincinnati.
World No. 7 Berdych earned his place in the third round with a straight-sets win over Paul-Henri Mathieu on Tuesday, following a bye through the first round courtesy of his high seeding. The Czech is in a rich vein of form and is bidding to reach his sixth successive tour-level quarter-final, following on from a quarter-final showing in Munich, a semi-final appearance at Roland Garros, his first major final at Wimbledon, and back-to-back quarter-final efforts in Washington and Toronto.

Marcos will be looking to avenge the defeat he suffered to the 24-year-old Berdych in the first week of the season in Brisbane. Berdych leads their head-to-head series 2-1, also beating Marcos in the 2007 Halle final, while Marcos won their first meeting in Indian Wells in 2006.

The match is scheduled to take place third on Grandstand, with play for the day beginning at 12noon local time (5pm UK, 7pm Cyprus). Check out the full order of play here.
