Marcos returns to the ATP World Tour on Sunday at the Winston-Salem Open, competing in his first tournament in two weeks. He will face Ricardas Berankis second on Center Court, with play beginning at 3:00pm local time.
It will be the second encounter between Marcos and Lithuania's Berankis. Their lone previous meeting came five years ago in the quarter-finals of the Stockholm Open. Marcos prevailed 6-3, 7-6(4).
Victory for Marcos would see him face 16th-seed Jiri Vesely. Top seed Roberto Bautista Agut looms large as a potential third round opponent.
Marcos is making his fifth appearance in Winston-Salem, with his best result coming in 2011 when he reached the quarterfinals.
